You have been asked to design a database system for an airport. The airport schedules any regular flights that include a flight number, a day of the week, a time, a departure location and an arrival location. For example, flight AC787 runs every Monday at 9:00 AM from New York (JFK) to Montreal (YUL). A regular flight can have many specific flights, that details the (actual) date of the flight, and the departure gate. A specific flight must be associated to one (and only one) regular flight. Passengers (that have a name and email) can book a specific flight. The booking should track the date of purchase and the purchase price.
1) Model the system above using an Entity-Relation diagram. You must include entities, relations, cardinality, participation and attributes. You do not need to specify attribute types.
2) Find all regular flights (flight number and day) that depart from New York (JFK)
