You work for a large community college in the Houston area. On the morning of February 13 there has been a major accident on one of the campuses (East Lakes Community College, Chemistry Building A) involving a hazardous chemical spill (involving Acetaldehyde ) at one of the chemistry labs on campus.
This event took place during class hours, and smoke and other inhalants (fumes) from the spill sent three students (Joseph Mendoza, Melanie Brown, and Jill Williamsenan international student) and one (1) professor (Dr. Adrienne Cryer) to the hospital.
All of those hospitalized were treated for chemical inhalation and released. None of the other students, faculty or staff at the campus were affected, but only the floor in Building A where the accident occured was closed; other locations on campus and even in the building continued holding classes during the entire emergency.
Some of the students and administrators now question their campus' dedication to safety as it did not seem to warrant evacuation of the entire campus or even the building where the accident took place.
Local HAZMAT was called in an contained the spill and gave the lab and college a green light to begin operations (classes and activities) in that part of campus again.
Campus administrators including police, local emergency responders and others from the city's office of emergency management are reviewing protocols to help prevent this type of accident in the future and to also develop more stringent emergency protocols.
Campus administrators insist they followed guidelines and urge everyone to make sure to follow East Lakes Community College on social media and to sign up for their emergency text alert system (EastLakesAlerts on 555.555.5555).

Who your audience is (students, faculty, staff, community at-large ... are there others?)
What happened?
When?
Where?
Who it affected?
Do you tell what types of chemicals it was?
Do you release hospital information? Names of affected?
What took place after the spill? Was the school evacuated or just that building?
What went into the decision to not evacuate campus or even the building where the accident took place.
Is there an all-clear to return? How are classes being handled?
How is the campus handling procedures to prevent this from happening in the future?
How can people continue to monitor this issue in the future?
Is there anything else you need to address?
Part B
Construct a 150-175 word social media post that condenses this release information into a format appropriate for social media
