Your task Collectively, you and your group are required to prepare and deliver a 15-minute event proposal based on the requirements below. Assessment Description This group assessment aims to foster students' ability to effectively acquire and convey knowledge and ideas to achieve shared goals in specific contexts. This will enable students to apply learned event management concepts to a real-world scenario within a safe learning environment by utilising event project management tools to design and plan an event. More importantly, the collaborative work will give students an opportunity to practise their soft skills as these are such a necessity in today's hospitality and tourism industry. Assessment Instructions Synopsis: Presume that Kaplan Business School has recently decided to launch an showcase event for the Hotel industry to showcase their courses and students. As future event managers, you have been asked to deliver an event pitch to your campus manager in an attempt to win a bid. During week 7, you will be given in-class time to form groups of three to four members (no more). Once you have created a group, you need to get acquainted with the rest of the members and select the team leader responsible for submitting the presentation slides via MyKBS. Your group will also have some time to discuss the preliminary event ideas. During week 8, your group will be required to fill out the group contract (please refer to the template which is located under Assessments Table>Assessment 3> Group Contract Template) by agreeing upon duties and responsibilities of each team member through negotiating individual and collective interests equally. In arranging your duties and responsibilities, you must consider the main aspects required of your group in this assessment. These are: 1.
