Write an MC code to simulate the two-dimensional nearest-neighbor Ising model on a periodic \(L \times L\) lattice in zero field. Calculate the energy distribution \(P(E)\) over a range of temperatures including the critical point. Use this distribution to calculate the internal energy and the specific heat as functions of temperature.
