Are countries with a large land area more likely to be developed? We classify a country as large if its land area is greater than 500,000 square kilometers, and 23% of countries are large. Of all the countries, 17% are both large and developed. Use D to denote the event of a country being classified as developed and L to denote the event of a country being large (greater than 500,000 sq km in size).
