12. Divide the class into teams of four to six members. Appoint a leader to act as supervisor for each team. Each team will hold the initial meeting to organize a fund-raising event for a cause of their choice. The teams should define their objectives, determine the needed resources, group activities, and assign duties. The supervisor should delegate whatever responsibilities he or she can, including asking for a volunteer to take notes at the meeting itself.

Before the end of class, a spokesperson for each team may report to the class on the effectiveness of the meeting: How quickly were objectives defined? How evenly were duties assigned? What was each member’s responsibility? How efficient was the supervisor at delegating? Did some members seem to have more power than others?
