1.4 Go online and type in the name of a country or culture that is different from your own. Select a website that gives background information on that country or culture’s communication behavior or customs. Spend a few minutes reading about how their communication behavior is different from your own. After reading about that country or culture, spend a few moments refl ecting on how you might identify, appreciate, and acknowledge those communication behaviors in future small group work. You might even think of ways to welcome and make that individual feel appreciated and valued.
