Your university is a large research institution that conducts studies in cancer and AIDS prevention and treatment. You were attracted to the school in the first place because it has the best premedical program in the state, and your goal is to become a doctor. Although you support finding cures for these diseases, you are also very opposed to the live animal research conducted in university laboratories.

You become even more concerned when you discover that part of the required coursework in your biology and premed major will be assisting with some of these research projects and conducting vivisections on the animals.
