Needed this for my Kennesaw State University statics class and snagged it for a discounted price which was awesome. Book feels solid, covers things in a way that actually makes sense and is easy to read so far—haven't got through it all yet but the examples seem pretty straightforward. It's kinda wordy in spots but having some clear explanations makes it better than I thought. Also the package came in quick and everything looked new so that was cool. So yeah, good buy for anyone in engineering classes who needs a text that won’t make you want to quit every page. Happy with this purchase.

Grabbed this on sale and gotta say, for my course ENGR 210: Engineering Mechanics I - Statics and Dynamics it’s doing pretty well so far. Didn’t expect much at the price but the book is decent quality and the way it breaks stuff down actually helps. haven’t read huge chunks yet but looks like it’s got enough examples to not get lost in the theory. and the whole thing came super quick which was a bonus—no issues at all. definitely worth having on hand if you’re tackling engineering stuff and need a down-to-earth textbook that doesn’t overcomplicate.

Was kind of lost trying to tackle all the forces and moments in my engineering class until this textbook popped up during a quick Amazon search on a student budget (grabbed it for a nicely discounted price, so that was a win). Chapter 5, which dives into the real deal of distributed forces and its impact on rigid bodies, seriously cleared things up for me. Before this, I was stuck between confusing notes and unclear lectures, honestly feeling like I was spinning my wheels. But the way this chapter breaks down calculations and mixes in clear diagrams made me stop and really grasp what was going on.
That moment when I realized that those awkward force distributions weren't just theory but something I could actually visualize and apply — that blew my mind. I even used some of the examples to figure out forces from actual bridge plans I was curious about which kinda connected my coursework to real structures in a way textbooks usually don't.
On the minus side, the text tends to get a bit detailed in places, which slowed me a bit but those details are Jamie Nicole’s problems to solve in editing; the diagrams do a huge part to balance the text-heavy bits. Overall, it made chunking the entire statics stuff way less intimidating.
If you’re in a statics or dynamics course and searching for something that treats you like a person breathing through it all—not a robot—I'd say give this one a shot. Worth every penny after that discount I got—a solid find for sure!

Picked this up for my Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-New Brunswick Campus class on a discount and honestly, it’s doing the job. The textbook feels sturdy enough and hasn’t gotten me totally lost yet. I’ve read some of the chapters and the way it explains stuff isn’t crazy hard to follow, which is good because my lectures can be confusing. I like that there are videos and diagrams too so it’s not just heavy text. Shipping wasn’t slow either, came quicker than I expected. Definitely a handy guide to have while grinding through statics and dynamics homework.

Honestly didn’t expect much when I scored this at a good discount from SolutionInn, but for my course ENGR 201: Fundamentals of Engineering Mechanics, it’s been pretty handy so far. I’ve only gotten a few chapters in but the way it lays out the basics is decent, kinda helpful for sorting through lectures. The book’s visuals help with making sense of the tricky bits, though some parts get a bit dense for my liking. Shipment from SolutionInn was smooth and the book looks as described, no scratches or marks, so that was a relief at that price.
