Needed this for my University of Sunderland class and it showed up super quick - can't lie, it feels proper sturdy and clean so far. Haven't had time to properly read through yet but got it free which is mint. Works fine just poking around a bit, glad I grabbed it.

Was on the hunt for something that could actually clear up my questions during my uni lectures and stumbled across this financial book. Got it for free, which was a bonus, so I thought why not give it a crack? Before this, intangible assets kinda felt like another language, super confusing. But then when I hit Chapter 6 about non-current assets—particularly the bits on intangible assets like goodwill and patents—the explanations really surprised me. It wasn’t just terms and definitions, it broke things down with examples that somehow made it stick. Like an actual lightbulb moment where I thought, oh, that’s how companies factor this stuff in real life! After that chapter, it was way easier to follow what our tutor talked about in classes, especially with the examples about asset impairment and amortisation. I even managed to explain a few concepts to my mates, which felt unreal since I was lost before. On the downside, some parts were a bit wordy so I had to re-read them, but overall it pulled together some tricky material nicely enough. Would 100% give this a recommendation if you’re needing a book that helps turn fuzzy course material into something understandable, especially with assets and how they reflect in financial reports. Also, it’s pretty cool snagging it for free—feels like I lucked out there. Real handy as a reference on these topics I'd say.
