I graduated with my Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering two years ago. One of the best ways to gain teaching experience is to teach someone and in exchange for them teaching you. During my undergrad days, I tutored high school students in math and science. My philosophy was to be enthusiastic and engaging with the students so that they are excited to learn. I used multimedia in the classroom to make the lessons more interesting. My tutoring experience was quite fun and rewarding. Watching the expressions on the faces of the children turn from confused to a light bulb moment was quite heart-warming.
