Question:

Your instructor may ask you to do both parts of this exercise or only part a or part b.
a. Use the job analysis questionnaire in the On the Job example at the end of this chapter to analyze the most recent job you have held. Your job may have been a summer, part- time, or full-time job. You need not fill in the heading information. After you have completed the questionnaire, answer the following questions:
1. Do you believe the job analysis captured the essence of your job? If not, what was left out?
2. What improvements would you recommend in the job analysis questionnaire?
3. Do you think your boss would have answered the questionnaire basically the same way you did? Why or why not?
b. Using the same job analysis questionnaire change referenced in part a above, go out and interview an actual jobholder of your choice. After you have completed the job analysis questionnaire, write a complete job description for the job.
