4. Career Activity: Watch the video for the MindTap Skype video on page 203. Note that there are three different “takes” for this situation. In groups of three to five, complete the following:

a. Discuss the specific differences between the first two takes of the Skype interview which had problems and the final take which was more effective.

What interview tips does this situation provide?

b. Create a general interview situation and make a list of 7 to 10 quality questions that could be asked in an online interview for your situation.

c. With two laptops and access to Skype, practice conducting board interviews using Skype. The group member to be interviewed should be in a separate room, alone; use two or three members to be the interviewers; have at least one member observe and give feedback to both the interviewers and the interviewee. Change roles until all group members have been interviewed.

d. Discuss what you learned from this exercise that can benefit you in your career.
