Vital Speeches Activity: In small groups, go to EBSCOHost and click on the Military and Government Collection, and look for an informative speech that the group likes from a recent Vital Speeches. After reading the speech, complete the following:

a. Make an outline of the speech determining which organizational pattern was used. On a scale of 1

(ineffective) to 5 (outstanding), how effective was the organization? Would a different pattern have worked better? If so, why?

b. Identify the research sources used in the presentation including personal experience. How effective were they?

c. Find two current sources that the speaker could have implemented into the speech to make it even better—one source should be a book, newspaper article, or journal article; one source should be a tweet or blog post. Be prepared to share your information if requested.
