a. Identify your audience. Who is the ideal respondent to answer your questions?
b. Identify information that you want answered. What information would you like to know that isn’t available online?
c. Write a few questions. Choose a good variety of question types, for example, rating and ranking.
d. Order the questions in a logical sequence.
e. Write a cover message.

Exercise 4
If you could start any business, what would it be? Maybe you have already been working on a business or have done so in the past. Write a list of questions you need answered before deciding whether the business is viable. Then, find information for each of your questions.
Provide citations for all sources and be sure to include conflicting information or data that does not support your idea. You don’t want to start a business that you know will fail from the start.
