Question:
You can save time by modifying existing proposals to meet the requirements of new projects. You work for a company called Dynamic Physiotherapy Clinic, a large private clinic located in Brooklyn that specializes in providing a wide range of physiotherapy services to its clients. The clinic is doing well and looking for opportunities to expand.
Several months ago, you wrote a proposal to form a partnership with the Brooklyn Fitness Center. This proposal was accepted and the resulting partnership has been very successful. Now you have been asked to write another proposal to form a partnership between Dynamic Physiotherapy Clinic and the Seaview Health Center, a small clinic that offers a range of restorative health services including massage therapy, acupuncture, and reflexology. You open the proposal you wrote for the partnership with the Brooklyn Fitness Center and revise it for a partnership with the Seaview Health Center.
Follow the steps below to review the content of the proposal and then format it for printing.
1. Open the file Revise_08.docx located in the Project.08 folder included with your Data Files and then, to avoid altering the original file, save the document as Seaview Health Center Partnership Proposal in the same folder.
2. Read the proposal and note where you will need to replace information about the Brooklyn Fitness Center with information about the Seaview Health Center. Note also that much of the information can remain the same.
3. Use Find and Replace to find every instance of Brooklyn Fitness Center and replace it with Seaview Health Center.
4. On the title page, change the name of the president of Seaview Health Center to George Ng.
5. Switch to Outline view, collapse the headings to level 2, and then move Seaview Health Center Facilities in the Products and Services section so it is below Dynamic Physiotherapy Clinic Services.
6. Show all levels and then refer to Figure 8-13 to make changes to the proposal content. Work in Outline view so you can concentrate solely on the content rather than the formatting.
7. Return to Print Layout view, scroll to the column chart in the Projected Revenues section, right-click the chart, and then click Edit Data.
8. Change the data for the chart as follows: January: 30; February: 32; March: 38; and April: 45.
9. Close the Excel spreadsheet.
10. Divide the document into three sections and modify headers, footers, and page numbering as follows:
a. Section 1: no header, footer, or page number
b. Section 2: footer with your name at the left margin and the page number formatted as i at the right margin
c. Section 3: header with Partnership Agreement Proposal centered and bolded, and footer with your name at the left margin and the page number formatted in the 1, 2, 3 style at the right margin and starting on page 1 11. Type your name where indicated on the title page, update the table of contents, save the document, and then print a copy.
