Haukeland University Hospital is a teaching hospital with close links to the University of Bergen. Every year, 180 medical students receive their clinical training at the hospital, which is also an important teaching and training center for other groups of health care practitioners and other students. At the hospital’s own training center, more than 100 nurses a year specialize in intensive care, anesthesia, pediatrics, and theater nursing.The hospital also offers 100 nursing specialists additional education every year.
