Message 16.A: Analyzing the Structure of a Presentation

[LO-1] You will have numerous opportunities during your studies to observe presentations by listening to your instructors or to guests invited to the institute to lecture to students. Choose one of these opportunities to analyze for the purposes of addressing this task. Ideally, choose a presentation that has been recorded for you, or seek permission to record it yourself.

Watch the presentation and take notes that will help you write a précis of the answers to the following questions: (1) How was the main idea of the presentation introduced to you, and how did this affect your expectations of the presentation? (2) What was your understanding of the scope of the presentation, and what gave you this information in its content? (3) From what you heard and observed, what was the outline of the presentation?
