The government has spent decades debating different initiatives to expand health insurance coverage.

Just how widespread is the lack of medical coverage? The media claims that the segments of the population most at risk are women, children, and the elderly. The tables give the number of uninsured (in thousands) by sex and by age in 2004.6 Using the appropriate chi-square test and the statistics software of your choice, investigate the accuracy of the media’s statement using these data.
