Thus, business schools are 'championing the integration of students across universities; providing a wider breadth of knowledge and worldviews by bringing students and experts from different disciplines together. For management students. this broader focus can sometimes be confusing, especially when students envisage their future as specialist focused accountants, finance managers or operations managers. However, the broader focus reflects the reality of the business world where soft skills enable career success and breaking down functional silos often leads to innovation in enterprises.
