(ii) relational; or (iii) balanced? Global management consulting firm Deloitte’s seventh annual Millennial Survey, published in 2018, draws on responses from over 12,000 young employees from thirty-six countries, including Australia and New Zealand. For the first time, the 2018 study distinguished between Millennials (totaling 10,455 participants) and Gen Z (1,844 participants).

We have already made brief mention of some of the study’s findings in this chapter.

One particularly interesting aspect of this study is what it reveals about the intersection of the three major trends we have identified in this chapter: Industry 4.0, the gig economy and generational change.
