Aidan believes that a picture is worth a thousand words, but not necessarily in English.

“There’s a different kind of eloquence in graphics because we get to use many additional

‘languages’ simultaneously—

color, texture, composition, line, light. Red is one ‘word’ and says one kind of thing, while blue is another and says other things.” In other words, it’s important to be sensitive to the “linguistics” and semiology

(signs and symbols) of images.
