7 If the negotiating bank refuses your documents due to a discrepancy(ies):

ask for them back and correct the discrepancy(ies), or request the negotiating bank to telex the issuing bank for authority to pay, or ask for the documents to be sent to the issuing bank for applicant’s approval, or ask for them to be sent on a collection basis under the letter of credit and within the terms of UCP500 (this usually happens when the discrepancies are too serious to rectify).
