1. Imagine a partner holds the ruler vertically with the zero point. oriented toward the bottom. 2. Imagine placing your thumb and forefinger at the ruler's bottom, surrounding the zero point. At random, your partner releases the ruler and it begins to fall. You try to pinch your fingers to catch it as soon as possible. The time between the release and the catch is your reaction time and suppose we can measure this time interval to the hundreths of a second accurately. 3.
