2. Afreen is a worker in a reputed RMG Factory and holds the post of Cutting Master for last three years (i.e. from July 2017). Her gross salary is currently 11,000 Taka per month. Last year she got pregnant and took 4 months maternity leave from 1st December 2018. However, her employer is now denying to pay her for those four months leave as he found out that she is already a mother of twin sons. He also threatened Afreen that he would dismiss her from job as she sometimes come office late from last month.

Afreen now wants to know

a) Whether BLA 2006 is applicable on her and if yes then why?

b) Whether the Employer is right in not paying for the maternity leave?

c) What is the procedure of dismissal?

d) How much money she needs to pay to the employer if she wants to resign today instantly?

e) What would be her total amount of payment as separation benefit?
