A group of 5 friends go to a restaurant in vancouver to celebrate a birthday. All the members of the group are older than 21, except tintu, who is 17.

During dinner, they order 2 bottles of wine, asking the server to bring wine glasses for everybody at the table, as the bottles will be shared.

After two hours and a few more drinks, the party leaves the restaurant. tintu, riding her bike home, loses her balance and falls on the street, hurting her leg. She is taken to the hospital where the doctors find she is in an altered state of consciousness caused by alcohol intoxication.
