As-Is Business Process
• Applicants (Agents & Customer) fill out a paper application
• Insurance Agent submits all the paper documents/ Paper application to the insurance company.
• Imaging team scans the paper application into an image.
• A data entry person will look at the data in the image and create an application in the internal system
• The application is reviewed by an Underwriter who either approves or rejects the Life Insurance application
• Fulfillment team prints the results and mails the result to the applicant.
With the automation of the Life Insurance application process
To-BE Business Process
• Agent together with customer will submit an application via website.
• The application is reviewed by an Underwriter who either approves or rejects the Life Insurance application
• Results are emailed to the applicant
