According to one popular magazine's survey, in 2011, the average cost of a Canadian wedding including the honeymoon was $29100. A random sample of 900 Canadian wedding from this population produced a mean cost of $29929. Assume that the standard deviation of all Canadian weddings in 2011 was $8100. Consider the following null and alternative hypotheses in order to test if the average cost of a Canadian wedding in 2011 was different from $29100. Consider proportional to = 0.05 H0: u = 29100 H1: u =/ 29100

a) Select the distribution to use (t, z, or F).

b) FInd the critical values to determine the rejection and nonrejection region for proportional to = 0.05. Use the appropriate distribution table and round to two decimal places. Enter just the absolute value (positive value).

c) Find the value of the test statistic. Just the numerical value rounded to two decimal places.

d) Considering the critical value(s) in part c and test statistic value in part d, would you reject the null hypothesis at proportional to = 0.05 level of significance?

e) If you decided to use the p value approach (instead of critical value method) what would be your p value for this two tailed test? Round to four decimals.

f) Considering the p value in part e, would you reject the null hypothesis at proportinal to =0.05 level of significance?
