Can you guys help me do it on excel ?

Albright Food Company is considering expanding into the organic fruit juice business with a new lemon juice product. Market research costing $100,000 was completed during the past year to determine if there was a market for organic fruit juices. The project is expected to operate for seven years, at which time it will be terminated. Assume that you were recently hired as assistant to the director of capital budgeting, and you must evaluate the new project.

The required equipment will cost $270,000. The MACRS depreciation method will be used. The equipment falls under the 10-Year MACRS Property Class of equipment used in the manufacturing of certain food products. The VLOOKUP is to be used in the calculation of depreciation expense.

Since Albright Food Company currently produces other beverages, it is expected that annual operating cash flows of $40,000 will be lost from the sale of these other beverages if the new lemon juice product is added.

Working Capital: Net working capital will increase by 25,000 at the beginning of the projects life, and it will increase by 20,000 in Year 4. The net working capital increase will be decreased by only 90% of the amount at the end of the project and returned to cash. There will be no changes in working capital in the other years.

The cash inflows are assumed to begin one year after the start of the project (i.e., end of year one) and to continue out to the end of year seven. At the end of the projects life, the equipment is expected to be sold for $50,000.

Unit sales are expected to be 105,000 units in year one and grow by 2% per year. The expected sales price of $2.65 per unit in year one will increase each year by .5%. Cost of goods sold is expected to be 38% of sales. Selling expenses are expected to be 17% of sales. Administrative expenses are expected to be $40,000 per year. Selling expenses and administrative expenses should be shown as separate line items. Albrights income tax rate is 35%. The cost of capital is 16%.

Instructions (Required to be completed in Excel)

  1. Calculate the annual incremental cash flows for the life of the project (display all dollars and units at 0 decimal places, except display the selling price at 2 decimal places; display percentages at 2 decimal places).

2. Calculate the NPV (display at 2 decimal places).

3. Calculate the PI (display at 2 decimal places).

4. Calculate the IRR (display at 2 decimal places)

5. Calculate the MIRR (display at 2 decimal places).

6. Calculate the Standard Payback (display at 2 decimal places).

7. Using the IF function, indicate whether the project is acceptable under each of the six methods (the function should return either Accept or Reject). The company uses a cutoff period of 3.75 years for the standard payback method.
