After returning from the trip, the group performed the skit twice back at the hospital. Ms Wagenseller chose not to participate in any of these activities. Upon her return to work, her relationship with her supervisor deteriorated sharply, and she was eventually fired. Although she was an employee-at-will, she sued for wrongful discharge.
