Instructions
In this assignment, you will draw the entity-relationship diagram for a car insurance system.
The rules of this system are the following:
A car dealership has many cars.
Each car is sold at one dealership.
A car owner can own multiple cars from a dealership.
A car can be owned by only one person.
A car requires a finance plan, and a plan can only be assigned to one car.
One payment is applied to exactly one plan, and one plan can be paid off over time by several payments.
Owners can make many payments, but a payment can only be paid by one owner.
Owners must be insured and they can only carry insurance with one insurance company.
An insurance company can have many owners carry their policies.
The insurance company will make payments, with each single payment made by exactly one insurance company.
It is highly recommended that you read and understand the examples in Knowledge Extension 6 of your textbook. Use this example as a guide to create your entity-relationship diagram. You may draw the diagram by hand using a ruler and printing neatly or by using graphics software; however, you must submit a JPG or PDF file called Lastname_Firstname_MISAssignment2 using your own first and last name.
