Consider yourself a supervisor of a team facing the following motivational problem. It is your job to create a four-week motivation program to meet your client's goal.

SITUATION: You are the supervisor of a call center team with 10 phone operators. Your team is currently averaging 375 calls per employee/per week. This equates to a total weekly average of 3,750 calls for your team.

Upper management wants your team to complete 500 calls per employee/per week for four weeks (5,000 calls per week for your team). The ultimate goal is 20,000 calls at the end of the four weeks. At the end of the month, you will present your results to the executive officers, so you want to hit this 20,000 goal.

You have been given a $750 budget to use on this motivation program. You need to budget 100% of this money. Your goal is to design a series of motivational rewards that utilize a variety of theories (X, Y, and Z, BF Skinner, 2-Factor, Maslow) and to address the "Other things to consider" category on the bottom of the previous page. You should also consider setting a variety of weekly, midpoint, and end of month rewards to keep everyone motivated throughout the entire 4-week program.
