The Receiving Team at Flying Robots does the initial examination of product returns.Unopened boxes of Flying Robotsproducts are immediately sent to the Put-away Team for restocking as first quality finished goods. Open box returns of Flying Robotsproducts are sent to a Returns Inspection Team for testing/evaluation. Returns of non- Flying Robots (other manufacturer's) product are sent to the Shipping Team to arrange for a return-to-sender shipment. Occasionally the sender of a non- Flying Robots product will not accept a return shipment; in that case, the item(s) are sent to the Disposal Team for appropriate disposal. The Returns Inspection Team tests all open box return items. Items that pass the inspection test are sent to the Repackaging Team, are repackaged as factory renewed quality products, and are then sent to the Put-away team for restocking. Low value, non-repairable items that do not pass the inspection test are sent to the Disposal Team for appropriate disposal. High value, repairable products that do not pass the inspection test are sent to the Repair Team. The Repair Team will do further testing and determine the cost to repair the item. A cost threshold has been established for each high valuable repairable item. Items that are below the cost threshold are repaired, repackaged as factory renewed quality goods, and sent to the Put-away Team for restocking. Items above the cost threshold are broken down for salvage by the Repair Team. Salvaged parts are sent to the Service Supply Team to be repackaged and stocked as service parts. The remaining material from the salvage operation is sent to the Disposal Team for appropriate disposal.
