Description Fallacies are everywhere! In this discussion post, tell a story wherein a fallacy from this week's unit is committed. The story can be from your personal life or completely made up. DON'T identify the fallacy. For example, your story might involve a politician saying something like, "you're either with us, or you're with the terrorists!" (false dilemma). Or, it might involve a 12-year-old bargaining for a later bedtime, "but mom, if I never stay up late then I'll never learn what it's like to be tired in the morning and I'll never learn the value of getting enough sleep and I'll make bad decisions as a grown-up and never achieve my dreams." (slippery slope). Once you've provided an example, look at your classmate's posts and try to identify the fallacies in their stories. Respond to at least one other student. Your response should identify the fallacy and explain your reasoning. Have fun!
