Discuss the theoretical arguments and the architecture of Deens reactive agents (also known as Cooperating Knowledge Based Systems).[ feel free to use some of this information- Deens reactive approach (Deen, et al.,1990-) is
known as an engineering approach to multiagent systems or Cooperating KnowledgeBased Systems (CKBS)
mentalistic primitives are unpredictable and hence
computational behaviour cannot be guaranteed
agents should be endowed with computational rather
than mentalist properties and emphasis is on
completeness, correctness, predictability and
termination in distributed problem-solving
each agent is a high-grain autonomous entity, with a
compulsory software component and an optional
hardware component.

Deens Reactive Agents
Deens agent design is driven by three main behavioural
characteristics: autonomy, cooperation and the ability to have multiple
skills with a view to achieving flexibility, adaptability, fault tolerance
and robustness
The agent has two major parts (or models):
An external model (head), which maintains all the information
needed for rational decision-making and communication with other
agents. It also includes the agents controller which is responsible
for maintaining the agents autonomy and execution control.
An internal model (body) that encapsulates a number of
components needed for mechanisation of the agents skills. It can
contain an optional hardware or human component, although the
human component is not considered any further in the
computational model because of its complexity.

Deens agent model

Deens model has a compulsory
head and optional body:
a head for decision making and social
interaction, and
a body for mechanisation of its
decisions/skills. The body may also
include electromechanical parts.
the neck of the agent provides a
physical communication link such as a
network connection between the body
and the head, and supports the
mappings (data and control
messages) involved between the body
and the head.
