Final Project - How will Business Principles Help You?

Business Principles can help one in many areas of life. In this final paper, you will write about how you can employ business principles to achieve financial, career, or personal objectives. After all, the most important business is your business! You will integrate concepts from the reading into how you will achieve these objectives. Include sources such as chapter reading, appendix A, online research, or other reading that relates to the objectives you are trying to achieve. Choose from one of the following Topics and sample outlines. If you have a strong feeling about writing something different than one of the three topics listed, obtain your instructor's approval for your idea before proceeding.

Side Hussle or Full Hussle?

For this project, write about a side business you would like to start or an existing business you would like to improve.

Why this type of business? Why did you choose it?

What type of ownership and business structure would you choose? Why? Advantages and disadvantages?

Environment: social, economic, legal, ethical, technological, competitive, and international. What effects will the environment have on your business? How will you leverage or neutralize these?

Marketing: How will you differentiate your product or service from competitors? How will you grow your customer relationships and network?

Finance and Accounting: How will you handle start-up costs, expenses, pricing, and the unforeseen?

Explain how government policy and regulations might impact this business.
