Im in meetings all morning, but need to get started looking at the attached messages. These have all come across my desk in the last day or so and have to be addressed. Please do some issue identification and legal analysis of the situations, and provide recommendations for action. If we need to make policy changes, what should the new policies be?

Please respond to each scenario under the message. Include a description of the relevant law, your explanation for how the law applies to the situation, and your recommendations for 1) how to handle this particular situation, and 2) how we might avoid such problems in the future.

Telephone message submitted anonymously to Franklin employee grievance hotline:

I am a sales associate in one of your stores in Costa Mesa and I just cant take the way Im being treated. Ive worked for this company for two years and I get picked on every single day by the other guys and my boss. They tell nasty jokes around me, stuff naked pictures in my locker, and get their hands all over me. Yes, Im gay, but thats no excuse for how Im treated. Its just not right and I will be quitting my job here and suing you all over how Im being harassed. Expect to hear from my lawyer!

[Note from your boss: I get it that the guys at this store may be jerks, but how can the sales associate sue Franklin for this? It doesnt make sense to me that the law would allow that. Am I missing something here?]
