Gupta's strategy was in the right direction in my view. That is because it is not necessary for McKinsey to focus only on one of the proposed strategies versus all of them, I think having different directions and applying a multi laying strategy for a company like McKinsey and for a person in charge Gupta is risky at the beginning but would be in the long run.
