Lab Practical - Experiment Design: This laboratory practical is aimed to trigger your curiosity and allows you to undertake a discovery approach. You have the freedom to choose from the following experimental conditions: - Reaction temperature: 20C or 30C or 40C - Flow rate of 0.1MNaOH solution: 20cm3/min or 30cm3/min or 40cm3/min - Flow rate of 0.1MCH3COOC2H5 solution: 20cm3/min or 30cm3/min or 40cm3/min In total, you will be able to perform a maximum of 3 experiments where you can vary the experimental conditions. As a group, brainstorm the question that you want to explore practically in this CSTR experiment. You have to narrow down on one question collectively as a group. Once you have decided the question, think as a group about the experiments that need to be undertaken to answer your question successfully. Consider the experimental conditions that you can vary (from the options above) and fill out the experiment design table below You must oring a completed version of the above table to your laboratory practicall where: a2:NaOH concentration in the feed vessel (mol dm-1) ag initial NaOH concentration in the mixed feed (mol dm) ay: NaOH concentration in reactor after time t (mol dm) a.: NaOH concentration in reactor after time (moldm1 ) b: ethyl acetate concentration (with same subscripts as above: bnb2b1bn) ( mol2 ) c: sodium acetate concentration (with same subscripts as above: c2csc1cm) (mol dm 1 ) v: total volumetric feed rate (dm2s1) vs: volumetric feed rate of sodium hydroxide (dm2s1) vt : volumetric feed rate of ethyl acetate (ddm2s4) Ne: initial conductivity (Siemens) Ay: conductivity after time 't' (Siemens)
