It was the beginning of summer while each year the beverage industry in Bangladesh typically enjoys mounting sales but due to the coronavirus outbreak, the topmost points of sales for beverages (Shops, hotels, restaurants, convention and party centers, and tourist spots) were shut this year which resulted in pounding the whole industry of beverages. Even during the month of Ramadan, this huge loss could not be altered & this is continuing until now. Along with many other industries of Bangladesh, the beverage industry has also been suffering a lot for the last few months due to this COVID-19 pandemic. Beverage sales have come to a near halt, which is a big concern for all the beverage-manufacturing companies.

FB Beverage Company (FBBC), a local beverage manufacturing company in Bangladesh, is one of the sufferers among the companies of the concerned industry. FBBC has numerous product ranges of Fruit Drink, Carbonated Soft Drink (CSD), Energy Carbonated Beverage Drink, and Drinking Water. Mango Drink, Fruit Cocktail Drink, Lychee Drink, Pineapple Drink, and Guava Drink are the Fruit Drink products. Carbonated Soft Drink comes with the flavor of Cola, Lemon, and Orange. Its top 3 top-selling products are- Mango Drink, Energy Carbonated Beverage Drink, and Drinking Water.

FBBC manufactures beverage products and sells through its different dealers called DEPO situated in different divisions and districts in countrywide. It is also involved in Institutional Direct Sale, Contract Manufacturing (CM) Sale, and Export Sale.

The Company had a good plan to increase sales in the year 2020 and it prepared accordingly to procure raw materials from local and overseas based on the sales projection. The company organized a Dealer and Sales Team Meeting in December 2019 to share the planning of good sales and growth in 2020. Dealers and Sales Team were motivated to

drive strongly for proper product stocking and good sales. Dealers placed orders for stocking accordingly so that market doesn't face any product gap and competitors can't enter in markets.

Year started with good sales. The month of January and February ended with sales growth but it was in the month of March when gloom started to hover on sales. Everything got cloudy and eventually, the half-yearly sales slumped leaving a crisis for the company. Company's Half Yearly Sales Data is depicted below for a glance:
