How would you respond to this post?

Working capital is the metric that represents all operating liquidity, including fixed assets. It measures efficiency and short-term financial health. Generally, the more capital that a business has; less financial hardships occur, (Byrd, Hickman ,& McPherson, 2013). Businesses should use a working capital analysis to determine the liquidity of its current assets in comparison to current liabilities. According to the article, interest rates are at an all-time low which is allowing more companies the opportunity to gain working capital. More capital will provide more liquidity that will better position a company for growth due to increased production and streamlined processes. Most loans are taken to finance account receivables and working capital helps to meet those short-term obligations. If companies focus on purchasing power to increase efficiency at a low interest rate, they should take advantage, (Biery, 2013). The short-term lender will prefer flows of cash versus stock cash. Flows of cash can better meet short-term obligations. These types of lenders do not wait for the next accounting period or when profits are generated. Management can ensure obligations by conducting working capital analyses often. This way they can effectively balance account payables and account receivables. Stock cash is not profit, nor is it immediately liquid, so a short-term lender cannot rely on it. Companies can operate without liabilities, but only if they have excess cash reserves. This type of company would likely pay all obligations in cash. Not wanting to free up any cash is unusual. Companies using credit is a common practice to pay for obligations. It proves credit worthiness and enables a business to get working capital or another type of credit if the need arises. Using credit also increases amount of liquidity.
