CASE STUDY SWOT ANALYSIS GUIDELINES
The purpose of this final written paper of a minimum of 15 pages is to apply what you have learned from the content of this class. Healthcare Planning and Strategy requires you to think strategically and make appropriate decisions to shape the future for an organization from a case study that you can use as a leader. An analysis of an organization from a case study reinforces your ability to analyze a situation and think strategically to prepare that organization for a future of success in that environment. Essentially you will analyze and assess an organization, identify its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT Analysis), and make some critical thinking decisions about its future needs.
Recommended Preparation and Implementation Process :
Read the case to get an overall idea about the setting, topic and problem.
Re-read the case and pull out important facts that may be used to help analyze possible problems and courses of action.
Do a SWOT analysis to identify all of the organizationsStrengths and Weaknesses and the Opportunities and Threats from the external environment.
Develop a Table for all of the SWOT data
Based upon your SWOT analysis, use critical thinking to select 3 key issues for the organization and defend your selection for each.
Summarize analysis the SWOT data.
