I think that strategy implementation is essential to the success of an organization. A company can spend hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars forming an excellent strategic plan. However, if they fail to effectively communicate and implement that plan then it is as if the plan did not exist.

There are many factors to consider when implementing a strategic plan. Organizations should consider how the plan will be communicated down through the ranks. They should ensure that their managers on all levels are familiar with the plan and are comfortable communicating the plan to their subordinates. The organization should also ensure that they have a plan in place to follow up on the plan to ensure that it is being implemented correctly.

If an organization creates a plan and simply posts it up on a wall or sends it out in an e-mail the plan will fail. The organization must get their employees to buy into the plan and commit to its implementation if they expect it to have an impact.
