I was at a drive-thru fast food place recently and there was a huge backup for ordering. Once you made it through the ordering process, the line moved quite well. I was thinking how they could use the TOC as well as many other concepts we have studied in this course to help improve their efficiency. Find RCCA (root cause corrective action), value stream mapping, Six Sigma and/or TQM, as well as TOQ are some of the tools that we have studied that could help. I know some of the other drive-thru's are able to keep cars moving without the huge backup and long waiting times. What are your thoughts on this scenario?
