Imagine that you are the North American marketing team for Apple, and are in charge of creating and presenting a formal marketing plan to Tim Cook for the launch of their new foldable iPhone called the iPhold. Your job is to create a comprehensive marketing plan that Apple can implement and ensure a successful launch. Please note that while this assignment is an application-based assignment and will require you to utilize absolutely every concept covered in this course (as per the course outline). While you are free to leverage information found online, this assignment requires you contextualize that information to create a unique plan for Apple to implement. Project Guidelines When writing your assignments I will be looking for several things, which you should keep in mind when developing your project: Please provide data from your sources in your sections and cite them as per APA requirements. The report must be structured in line with the Evaluation Criteria outlined below. Evaluation Criteria: 1. Executive Summary (5%) Summarize the content of your plan and the important aspects. One slide is sufficient. An executive summary should be a standalone recap of the major elements of your report, and should, on its own, provide the reader with a solid understanding of the highlights and recommendations of the paper. An executive summary is NOT an introduction. 2. Organizational Profile (5%) Include: mission, vision and values, product or service offering and international experience to date. 3. Situation Analysis (20%) Provide a solid data-backed foundation for the product. Be sure to describe it in terms of SWOT, the marketing environment, diffusion, and any other relevant concepts. 4. Opportunities (20%) Provide a detailed description on the customers, including their needs, wants, challenges, available solutions and how the product will provide a solution. Provide in-depth analysis of the market and rationale for why you have selected a specific segmention, target market, and positioning. 5. Marketing Mix (20%) Describe your strategy to gain competitive advantage, the product/service positioning in the marketing mix (price, place, promotion, people and after-sales service). Be sure to also include e-commerce, branding and sales channels as it ties to the consumer decision process. 6. Performance Evaluation (20%) Identify specific measurement and growth strategies. Frameworks like BCG may come in handy. Be sure to review the course materials for others. 7. Live Presentation + Overall Format of the International Marketing Plan (10%) Marks Present your marketing plan to the class. Your presentation must be free of errors, be delivered in a manner that is easy to understand, and appropriate for an executive audience. All members of your team must present. 8. Appendices Aside from the body of your report, you are encourage to attach any appendices which are relevant to the information in the main report.
