Imagine yourself as the production manager of bicycle wheels for two different models - Model A and Model B. You want the diameter of Model A wheels to be 80 centimetres and the diameter of Model B to be 50 centimetres. A sample of 8 wheels for each model was selected, and below are their diameters in centimetres. Model A - 85, 78, 73, 82, 79, 80, 81, 81 Model B - 50, 53, 47, 49, 52, 54, 48, 49 Based on the above information, answer the following questions. a. Using PHStat, calculate and present the descriptive statistics of Model A and Model B samples. b. Based on the mean and median scores, which model's distribution of wheel diameters would be negatively skewed, and why?
c. Based on the mean scores of Model A and Model B, wheels of which model appear to be meeting the required size or at least closer to the required size? Explain why
d. Would your conclusion (from question 1 c) remain the same when comparing the two models' standard deviation instead of mean scores? Why or why not?
