In Lessons $7$ through $9,$ you will work in teams to complete team$-$based experiments. Each team will be required to complete a team write$-$up that examines the experiment results.

French and Raven proposed five$$and then, later, six$$bases for power. For this experiment, use one basis for power to influence an individual or a group that your team has identified. For example, let's say that someone in your group has a three$-$year$-$old who responds well to rewards. You select reward power, creating an experiment to conduct with your toddler. As another example, say that a member of your group is skilled at social media influencing. You select expert or referent power and see if you can persuade a friend to follow a brand based on your team member's advice. These experiments should involve naturally occurring circumstances that emphasize power that's already at play. Please keep in mind that influence is to be positive in nature and not to be used to bring about harm within this experiment.
