In this paper, Robert Emerson approaches the topic of stereotyping of lav. their duties with both humor and brevity. While using anecdotes from his home popular culture to prove the negative ideals we have concerning lawyers, he poi that lawyers are much more than their stereotypes. In so doing, he also calls out of the law to properly educate those who they come into contact with about the t power of the law to illuminate justice, versus being taken at an unflatteringly ]it While reading this article I could not help but smile and laugh at a few of anecdote shared, such as the movie Pretty Women and the dirty lawyer depicted movie. I can think of a plethora of movies which paint lawyers in a less than tla light, such as Liar, Liar and even Legally Blonde. These movies indicate that a lawyer must lie to win, use their looks, not care about truth, and rely solely on c dramatics and more. Morality is bent to fit the need of the lawyer at the time
