- Leeze: A cheap standard bike, only available in one version and best suited for everyday use and short distances

- Jovel: A high-priced and completely customizable e-bike.

Lizzy Bike sells its bikes in an online store as well as via local bike shops. Leeze is their best-selling model by far. It is often sold to customers not wanting to wait for their bike. Especially at the beginning of a new semester in Münster, many Leezes are sold to students. The necessary parts for Leeze are sourced from three main suppliers. Orders are sent to the suppliers based on demand forecasts and the suppliers deliver parts to Lizzy Bikes factory, where they are assembled into the model Leeze. Some bikes are kept on site to fulfill orders from the online store but the majority is delivered to local bike shops.

The process for Jovel looks a little different: Customers can use an online design tool to create their specific bike and choose from a wide option of parts. The number of possible bike designs is too big for Lizzy Bikes to store all parts in their warehouses and customers are typically fine with waiting for their completely customized bike. Hence, Lizzy Bike only starts sourcing and producing the bike after the customer order has arrived. Unlike with Leeze, Lizzy Bike collaborates with a larger number of specialized suppliers for Jovel and places the necessary orders at them to source all parts, which are needed to build the customized bike. The typical lead time is not too long, as the suppliers usually have a stock of the ordered parts and can send them right away. Once all parts arrived at Lizzy Bikes, the customized Jovel is assembled and directly send to the customer upon finalization.

Therefore, Lizzy Bikes wants to offer the freedom to add details to the basic model, which are easily mountable either at the factory or at bike stores.
