With the growing number of different ways for individuals with malicious intent to cause harm to your network. Can you list off a few of these and ways to prevent or mitigate risks to your network things that can be done from the individual to the business.

So far I have: There are many ways for individuals with malicious intent to harm your network. Some of these include:

Attacking your network infrastructure, such as routers and servers such as phishing and Trojans as we talked about last week.

Compromising your network security, such as by stealing passwords or breaking into your network. This is why maintaining a secure password is so important along with not repeating or reusing your password and periodically changing it.

Denial of service attacks, which can render your network inaccessible to legitimate users

Malware, which can infect your network and spread to other computers

There are a number of ways to prevent or mitigate these risks:

Keep your network infrastructure up to date and secure, with strong passwords and proper security measures

Educate your users on security risks and best practices, such as not clicking on links from unknown sources

Monitor your network for suspicious activity, and respond quickly to any incidents

Implement a comprehensive security solution, including malware protection and firewalls

Being aware of your surroundings and who you disclose information to while properly labelling information. Being aware of what to look out for as suspicious activity such as unknown emails or links. Sudden unknown prompts asking for your login and password information. Always running up to date anti-virus software on anything suspicious.
